Dalešice Dam lies on the Jihlava River in the Czech Republic. It was built between 1970 and 1978 as a water source for the nearby Dukovany Nuclear Power Station. With nearby Mohelno Dam, it is part of the Dalešice pumped-storage plant. The installed capacity of its Francis turbines is 4x120 MW (increased after reconstruction 2007). The gravity dam is 100 m high (the highest in the Czech Republic, second highest rockfill dam in Europe), so the reservoir is also the deepest in the Czech Republic (85.5 m). The reservoir has a capacity of 127 million m³.
